Downtag is a Newport Beach, CA based company founded by Michael Shane Hill. As a daily motorcycle rider, frequent SCUBA diver, rock climber, and lover of all things extreme, Mr. Hill knows the dangers that come with living life on the edge. Calling upon his experience as an Emergency Medical Technician and the joy he gets in helping people, the goal of Downtag is simple - to provide an easy to use and affordable safety solution to the general public that will allow them to live life to the fullest with the piece of mind that should something go wrong, emergency responders are able to be dispatched in the shortest period of time possible. Taking this service one step further, Downtag is also a means of faciliating access to our member's medical history and other vital information, which aids in emergency medical personnel treating you to the best of their abilities - providing the greatest chances of your survival when your life hangs in the balance.

Mission Statement

Downtag seeks to minimize loss of life and improve the security of its clients. Our service is geared toward, but not limited to, motorcyclists. We will use a 24-hour accessible database and emergency dispatch center to provide emergency personnel with our clients' personal identification and emergency medical information in any situation in which the client cannot provide this information on his/her own - saving lives that may be lost simply due to the lack of timely access to basic information.

1. Facilitating the immediate acquisition of client personal identification and emergency medical information by first responders in the case of a life threatening emergency.


2. Ensuring that all motorcycle riders have the ability to have their voices heard in the event of being incapacitated due to injury or illness.


3. Providing a virtual riding partner for riders who prefer to experience the "thrill of the ride" on their own.

Vision

It is the vision of Downtag to create a system, adopted by all motorcycle riders and recognized by first responders worldwide, that facilitates immediate access to critical identification and life saving information in the case of any emergency situation.

Second only to standard riding safety gear, a Downtag membership will be the most important item that any motorcyclist will ever own.
